Kjeldahl nitrogen analyzer is a commonly used experimental equipment used to determine the nitrogen content in samples by the Kjeldahl nitrogen determination method. It is set up with multiple key steps such as digestion, distillation and titration, and requires regular maintenance and upkeep to ensure its performance and accuracy.
How to ensure the analysis accuracy of Kjeldahl apparatus:
I. Installation environment
1. The instrument should be kept away from direct sunlight and should not be placed in an environment that is too cold, hot or humid.
2. The indoor temperature should be maintained between 10℃ and 30℃, and good ventilation should be ensured to promote heat dissipation.
II. Cleaning and maintenance
1. Regularly check the tank in the front of the instrument. If any liquid accumulation is found, clean it in time.
2. After long-term use, scale may form on the heater, which will reduce heating efficiency, so it should be descaled regularly.
Method: Turn off the power in the shutdown state and unscrew the cock on the top of the steam generator. Insert a small funnel and inject descaling agent or glacial acetic acid (diluted sulfuric acid can also be used) to clean the scale. Open the drain valve of the steam generator in the chassis, drain the water, and then rinse it with clean water several times.
III. Liquid barrel cleaning:
Regularly clean the alkali solution barrel and boric acid barrel of Kjeldahl distillation apparatus to ensure that no sediment accumulates. These buckets are washed to prevent impurities from affecting the accuracy of sample analysis.
